तत्र तीर्थे तु यः कन्यां दद्यात्स्वयमलंकृताम् । तस्य यत्फलमुद्दिष्टं तच्छृणुष्व नरोत्तम
tatra tīrthe tu yaḥ kanyāṃ dadyātsvayamalaṃkṛtām | tasya yatphalamuddiṣṭaṃ tacchṛṇuṣva narottama
அந்தத் தீர்த்தத்தில் யார் தாமே அலங்கரித்த கன்னியைக் (திருமணத்திற்காக) தானம் செய்கிறாரோ, அவருக்குக் கூறப்பட்ட பலனை கேள், ஓ நரோத்தமா.
