श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महीपाल नर्मदेश्वरमुत्तमम् । तत्र तीर्थे नरः स्नात्वा मुच्यते सर्वकिल्बिषैः

ஸ்ரீ மார்கண்டேயர் கூறினார்— ஓ மஹீபாலா! பின்னர் உத்தமமான நர்மதேச்வரத்திற்குச் செல்ல வேண்டும். அந்த தீர்த்தத்தில் நீராடினால் மனிதன் எல்லாப் பாவங்களிலிருந்தும் விடுபடுவான்.
