व्यासरूपं विभुः कृत्वा संहरेत्स युगे युगे । अष्टलक्षप्रमाणे तु द्वापरे द्वापरे सदा
vyāsarūpaṃ vibhuḥ kṛtvā saṃharetsa yuge yuge | aṣṭalakṣapramāṇe tu dvāpare dvāpare sadā
எல்லாம் வல்ல இறைவன் யுகம் யுகமாக வியாச ரூபம் கொண்டு அதைத் தொகுத்து ஒழுங்குபடுத்துகிறார். ஒவ்வொரு துவாபர யுகத்திலும் அதன் அளவு எப்போதும் எட்டு லட்சம் (சுலோக/அளவு) என நிர்ணயிக்கப்படுகிறது.
