Cosmic Event: sapta-dvipa-sapta-samudra cosmography (ordered world-structure)
It frames the vast, ordered cosmos to inspire vairāgya (detachment): all worlds are bounded and measurable, while liberation is attained by turning from the finite creation (pāśa) toward the Supreme Lord (Pati), Shiva.
By contrasting the many cosmic divisions with the single supreme refuge, it supports Saguna worship (such as the Śiva-liṅga) as a focused means to transcend worldly multiplicity and realize Shiva as the inner ruler of all realms.
A practical takeaway is dhyāna on Shiva as the all-pervading Lord beyond the worlds, supported by japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to steady the mind amid cosmic diversity.
