दुन्दुभिनिर्ह्रादनिर्णयः / Dundubhinirhrāda’s Stratagem: Targeting the Brāhmaṇas
एतस्मिन्नंतरे देवास्समाजग्मुस्सवासवाः । जयेति शब्दं कुर्वंतो महोत्सवपुरस्सरम्
etasminnaṃtare devāssamājagmussavāsavāḥ | jayeti śabdaṃ kurvaṃto mahotsavapurassaram
அந்நேரத்தில் இந்திரனுடன் எல்லாத் தேவர்களும் அங்கு கூடினர்; ‘ஜயம்!’ என முழங்கியபடி, பெருவிழாவின் முன்னணியில் செல்வதுபோல் முன்னேறினர்।

Significance: Depicts the devas’ communal approach and celebratory acclamation—modeling saṅgha-bhakti and public kīrtana-like victory cries around Śiva’s triumph.
Mantra: jaya iti
It shows that when dharma is restored through Shiva’s divine will, even the Devas respond with united praise and auspicious celebration—victory is not merely martial, but a reaffirmation of cosmic order under Pati (Shiva).
The Devas’ public cry of “Jaya” reflects Saguna-bhakti—devotional acclaim directed to the manifest, victorious Lord whose grace makes divine order visible in the world, a mood often expressed in Linga worship through kīrtana and stotra.
Adopt “Jaya Shiva” style japa/kīrtana as a victory-affirming remembrance of Shiva, and pair it with simple pūjā observances (e.g., offering water to the Linga) to internalize triumph over inner impurities.
