स इत्थं निर्जितककुबेकराड् विषयान्प्रियान् । यथोपजोषं भुंजानो नातृप्यदजितेन्द्रियः

sa itthaṃ nirjitakakubekarāḍ viṣayānpriyān | yathopajoṣaṃ bhuṃjāno nātṛpyadajitendriyaḥ

Translation

இவ்வாறு திசைகளின் அதிபதிகளை வென்று, விரும்பிய இன்பப் பொருட்களைப் பெற்றும், விருப்பம்போல் அவற்றை அனுபவித்தான்; ஆனால் இந்திரியங்கள் அடங்காததால் அவனுக்கு ஒருபோதும் திருப்தி இல்லை।
