Bāṇāsura’s Wrathful Command and the Onset of Battle at the Inner Palace
aniruddhaṃ mahābuddhiṃ dvandvayuddhe mahā have | prādyumniṃ rakṣitaṃ śaivatejasā prajvalattanum

Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva’s śaiva-tejas as a protective, purifying power: when devotees or dharmic allies are tested in conflict, the Lord’s grace manifests as inner brilliance and safeguarding, implying that true victory rests on divine support rather than mere force.
The verse points to Saguna Śiva’s active grace—experienced as ‘tejas’ (radiant power). In Linga worship, that same presence is approached as the accessible form of Śiva whose energy removes obstacles and grants protection to the devotee.
Meditate on Śiva as protective light while repeating the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” and, if following Shaiva practice, wear Rudrākṣa and apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as reminders of Śiva’s guarding presence and inner steadiness.
