FAQs

It conveys a Shaiva benediction where brilliance (tejas) symbolizes divinely granted power and auspiciousness; in Shaiva Siddhanta, such splendor is ultimately meaningful when aligned to Shiva’s grace and dharma, not mere worldly dominance.

The verse reflects Saguna Shiva’s role as the bestower of boons—radiance, status, and order in the cosmos—reminding devotees that worship of the Linga seeks Shiva’s anugraha (grace) to purify and elevate one’s life-force and destiny.

A practical takeaway is to cultivate tejas through Shiva-upasana: japa of the Pañcākṣara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with steady breath, and (where traditional) wearing Rudrākṣa and applying Tripuṇḍra as reminders that true brilliance arises from purity and devotion.
