अथासौ शंखचूडस्य दूतः परमशास्त्रवित् । उवाच शंकरं नत्वा करौ बद्ध्वा शुभं वचः

athāsau śaṃkhacūḍasya dūtaḥ paramaśāstravit | uvāca śaṃkaraṃ natvā karau baddhvā śubhaṃ vacaḥ

அப்போது சங்கசூடனின் தூதன்—உயர்ந்த சாஸ்திரங்களை அறிந்தவன்—சங்கரனை வணங்கி, கைகூப்பி மங்கள வார்த்தைகள் கூறினான்.
