Suta Goswami (concluding colophon to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Sthala Purana: Colophon verse marking the closure of the chapter ‘Śakrajīvana’ within the Jalandhara-vadha upākhyāna; not a sthala-purāṇa of a specific Jyotirliṅga.
This is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter, emphasizing that the events—Jalandhara’s fall and Indra’s restoration—unfold under Śiva’s supreme governance (Pati), reminding devotees that cosmic order is re-established by Śiva’s will.
By framing the narrative within the Śiva Mahāpurāṇa and Rudra Saṃhitā, it points the listener back to Saguna Śiva as the active Lord who protects the devas and restores dharma—an orientation central to Purāṇic Linga-worship and devotion to Śiva’s manifest grace.
As a concluding marker, it implicitly supports śravaṇa (devotional listening/recitation) of Śiva Purāṇa; a fitting practice is to end the reading with “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” japa and a short Śiva-ārādhana (e.g., offering water to a Śiva-liṅga).
