त्रिपुरवर्णनम् (Tripura-varṇanam) — “Description of Tripura”
संपीडनाय जगतो यदि स क्रियते तपः । सफलं तद्गतं वेद्यं तस्मात्सुविहितं तपः
saṃpīḍanāya jagato yadi sa kriyate tapaḥ | saphalaṃ tadgataṃ vedyaṃ tasmātsuvihitaṃ tapaḥ
உலகை ஒடுக்குவதற்காகத் தவம் செய்யப்படின், அதன் ‘பலன்’வும் அந்த அழிவுநோக்கிலேயே உள்ளது என அறிய வேண்டும்; ஆகவே உண்மையான தவம் சிவனின் ஒழுங்குக்கு இணங்க, தர்மமாய், முறையாகச் செய்யப்பட வேண்டும்।
