कामशापानुग्रहः (Kāmaśāpānugraha) — “The Curse and Grace Concerning Kāma”
ऋषय ऊचुः । यस्मात्प्रमथसे तत्त्वं जातोस्माकं यथा विधेः । तस्मान्मन्मथनामा त्वं लोके ख्यातो भविष्यसि
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | yasmātpramathase tattvaṃ jātosmākaṃ yathā vidheḥ | tasmānmanmathanāmā tvaṃ loke khyāto bhaviṣyasi
ரிஷிகள் கூறினர்—விதாதா பிரம்மாவின் ஆணைப்படி எங்கள் மத்தனத்திலிருந்து நீ தோன்றினாய்; ஆகவே உலகில் ‘மன்மதன்’ என்ற நாமத்தால் நீ புகழ்பெறுவாய்.
