It highlights that spiritual capacity and success in dharma arise through śakti (divine power) bestowed by higher grace; even great deities act effectively when empowered, reflecting the Shaiva view that Pati (the Lord) and His śakti enable all auspicious action.
In Saguna Shiva worship, devotees approach the Lord with form along with His śakti; this verse underscores that worship and protection from obstacles are fulfilled when divine power is invoked—commonly by honoring Gaṇeśa before Linga-pūjā as part of Shaiva ritual order.
A practical takeaway is to begin Shiva worship with Gaṇeśa-vandana and śakti-invocation—mentally offering one’s energies to the Lord—then proceed with Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and, if following Shaiva custom, Tripuṇḍra-bhasma and Rudrākṣa as supports for steadiness and obstacle-removal.
