Sukta 9.85
सहस्रणीथः शतधारो अद्भुत इन्द्रायेन्दुः पवते काम्यं मधु । जयन्क्षेत्रमभ्यर्षा जयन्नप उरुं नो गातुं कृणु सोम मीढ्वः ॥
sahasranī́thaḥ śatádhāro ádbhuta índrāyénduḥ pavate kā́myaṃ mádhu | jáyan kṣétram abhy àrṣā jáyann ápa urúṃ no gātúṃ kṛṇu soma mī́ḍhvaḥ ||
ஆயிரம் வழிநடத்தல்களும், நூறு ஓடைகளும் உடைய அதிசயமான இவ்விந்து, இந்திரனுக்காகத் தூய்மையடைகிறது—ஆவி விரும்பும் காம்ய மது (இனிய ரஸம்) ஆக. க்ஷேத்ரத்தை வென்று அதன்மேல் பாய்ந்து ஓடு; அப் (நீரோட்டங்களை) வென்று, ஓ மீட்வஃ சோமா, எங்களுக்கு அகன்ற காது (பாதை) அமைத்தருள்.
