Sukta 9.82
असावि सोमो अरुषो वृषा हरी राजेव दस्मो अभि गा अचिक्रदत् । पुनानो वारं पर्येत्यव्ययं श्येनो न योनिं घृतवन्तमासदम् ॥
asā́vi sómo aruṣó vṛ́ṣā hárī rājéva dasmó abhí gā́ acikradat | punā́nó vā́raṃ páry ety avyáyaṃ śyéno na yóniṃ ghṛtávantam āsádam ||
அருணன், காளைபோல் வலிமைமிக்கவன், ஹரிவர்ணன்—சோமன் பிழியப்பட்டான்; அதிசயமானவன் அரசனைப் போல ஒளியின் பசுக்களை நோக்கி முழங்குகிறான். தூய்மையடைந்து அவன் அழியாத வடிகட்டியைச் சுற்றிச் செல்கிறான்; பருந்து தன் கூண்டை அடைவதுபோல், நெய் நிறைந்த ஆசனத்தை அவன் அடைகிறான்.
