परि णो अश्वमश्वविद्गोमदिन्दो हिरण्यवत् । क्षरा सहस्रिणीरिषः ॥
Transliteration
pári no áśvam aśvavíd gómad indo híraṇyavat | kṣárā sahasríṇīr íṣaḥ ||
Translation
ஓ இந்து! எங்களைச் சுற்றி ஓடிவா; அச்வ-விது (குதிரை-வெற்றி தரும்) வலிமையை—வேக ஆற்றலை—கொண்டு வருபவனாய், கோமத் (ஒளிக் கதிர்கள் நிறைந்த) மற்றும் ஹிரண்யவத் (பொன்-ஒளி நிரம்பிய)வனாய். ஆயிரமடங்கு வளர்ச்சி-உந்துதல்களை (இஷஃ) பொழிவாயாக.
