Sukta 9.114
यत्ते राजञ्छृतं हविस्तेन सोमाभि रक्ष नः । अरातीवा मा नस्तारीन्मो च नः किं चनाममदिन्द्रायेन्दो परि स्रव ॥
yát te rājan śṛtáṃ hávis téna somā́bhi rakṣa naḥ | arātī-vā mā nas tārīn mó ca naḥ kíṃ canā́mamat índrā́yendo pári srava ||
ஓ அரசே, உன்னுடைய சமைந்தும் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டும் உள்ள ஹவிஸ்—அதனால், ஓ சோமா, எங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பாயாக. பகைமை மனம் எங்களைத் தாண்டிச் செல்லாதிருக்கட்டும்; எதுவும் எங்களைச் சிறிதும் அடக்காதிருக்கட்டும். ஓ இந்திரனுடைய சோமா, எங்களைச் சுற்றியும் எங்களுள் உள்ளும் பாய்ந்து ஓடு.
