Sukta 8.51
पार्षद्वाणः प्रस्कण्वं समसादयच्छयानं जिव्रिमुद्धितम् । सहस्राण्यसिषासद्गवामृषिस्त्वोतो दस्यवे वृकः ॥
pārṣadvā́ṇaḥ práskaṇvaṃ sám asādayac cháyānaṃ jívrim úd-dhitam | sahásrāṇy asiṣāsad gávām ṛ́ṣis tvā́ūto dásyave vṛ́kaḥ ||
பார்ஷத்வாணன் பிரஸ்கண்வனை முழுமையாக இலக்கிற்கு சேர்த்தான்; கீழே வீழ்ந்து கிடந்த ஜிவ்ரியை உயர்த்தி நிறுத்தினான். அவன் ‘கோ’ (கிரணங்கள்) எனும் ஆயிரங்களை வென்றான்; மேலும் உன் துணையால் அந்த ரிஷி தஸ்யுவுக்கு ‘வ்ருக’—ஓநாய்—ஆகி, பகைத் தமஸை விழுங்குபவனானான்.
