यद्ध नूनं यद्वा यज्ञे यद्वा पृथिव्यामधि । अतो नो यज्ञमाशुभिर्महेमत उग्र उग्रेभिरा गहि ॥
Transliteration
yád dha nūnáṃ yád vā yajñé yád vā pṛthivyā́m ádhi | áto no yajñám āśúbhir mahe-mate ugrá ugrébhi r ā́ gahi ||
Translation
இது இப்பொழுதாயினும், யாகத்திலாயினும், பூமியின் மேற்பரப்பிலாயினும்—ஆகையால், ஓ உக்ர-மனத்தோனே, உன் விரைவோடிகள் (அச்வங்கள்) உடன் எங்கள் யஜ்ஞ-ஹவிஸிற்கு வா; ஓ உக்ரனே, உக்ர சக்திகளுடன் வா.
