Sukta 7.83
अस्मे इन्द्रो वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा द्युम्नं यच्छन्तु महि शर्म सप्रथः । अवध्रं ज्योतिरदितेॠतावृधो देवस्य श्लोकं सवितुर्मनामहे ॥
asmé índro váruṇo mitró aryámā dyumnáṃ yacchantu máhi śárma sa-práthaḥ | avadhráṃ jyótir áditer ṛtā-vṛ́dho devásya ślókāṃ savitúr manāmahe ||
எங்களுள் இந்திரன், வருணன், மித்ரன், அர்யமன்—இவர்கள்—ஒளிமிகு செல்வவளத்தையும், மகத்தானவும் அனைத்திலும் பரவியுமான சரண-சாந்தியையும் நிலைநிறுத்துவாராக. தத்தின் வளர்ச்சியால் வலுப்பெற்ற அதிதியின் வீழாத ஜ்யோதியை நாம் தியானிக்கிறோம்; தெய்வீக சவித்ரின் ஊக்கமூட்டும் ஶ்லோகத்தை மனத்தில் தாங்குகிறோம்.
