Sukta 7.78
एता उ त्याः प्रत्यदृश्रन्पुरस्ताज्ज्योतिर्यच्छन्तीरुषसो विभातीः । अजीजनन्त्सूर्यं यज्ञमग्निमपाचीनं तमो अगादजुष्टम् ॥
etā́ u tyā́ḥ práty adṛśran purástāj jyótir yácchantīr uṣáso vibhātī́ḥ | ájījanan sū́ryaṃ yajñám agním apācī́naṃ támo agād ájuṣṭam ||
இவ்வுஷஸ்கள் நிச்சயமாக முன்னே (கிழக்கில்) தோன்றின; ஒளியை முன்வைத்து, பிரகாசமாகச் சுடர்கின்றன. அவை சூரியனை, யஜ்ஞத்தை, அக்னியைப் பிறக்கச் செய்தன; பாதையிலிருந்து விலகிய அயுஷ்ட (அருவருப்பான) இருள் அகன்றது.
