प्र वो देवं चित्सहसानमग्निमश्वं न वाजिनं हिषे नमोभिः । भवा नो दूतो अध्वरस्य विद्वान्त्मना देवेषु विविदे मितद्रुः ॥
prá vó deváṁ cit sahasā́nam agním áśvaṁ ná vā́jinaṁ híṣe námobhiḥ | bhávā no dūtó adhvarásya vidvā́n tmanā́ devéṣu vivide mitá-druḥ ||
வணக்கங்களுடன் நான் அந்த தெய்வீக, பேராற்றல் கொண்ட அக்னியை முன்னே புகழ்ந்து எழுப்புகிறேன்—செல்வமும் வேகமும் உடைய குதிரைபோல். எங்களுக்காக யாகத்தின் தூதனாக இரு, வழிகளை அறிந்தவனே; உன் சொந்த இயல்பு/ஆன்மையாலேயே தேவர்களிடையே உன் இடத்தை நீ கண்டடைகிறாய்—மிதத்ரு (அளந்த அடியெடுப்பு/நடை உடையவன்).
