Sukta 7.19
एते स्तोमा नरां नृतम तुभ्यमस्मद्र्यञ्चो ददतो मघानि । तेषामिन्द्र वृत्रहत्ये शिवो भूः सखा च शूरोऽविता च नृणाम् ॥
eté stomā́ narā́m nṛtama túbhyam asmadryáñco dádato maghā́ni | téṣām indra vṛtrahátye śivó bhūḥ sákhā ca śūró ’vitā ca nṛṇā́m ||
ஓ ந்ருதம (மிகவும் ஆண்மையுடைய) நரசிறந்தவனே! இவ்வஸ்தோத்ரங்கள் எங்களிடமிருந்து உம்மை நோக்கி செல்கின்றன; உமது மங்கள் (தான-செல்வங்கள்) அர்ப்பணித்தவாறே. ஓ இந்திரா! வ்ருத்ர-வதத்தில் அவர்களுக்குப் புனித-கல்யாணகரனாய் (ஶிவனாய்) இரு; நண்பனாய் இரு, வீரனாய் இரு, நரர்களின் அவிதா (காவலன்) ஆகவும் இரு.
