अपामुपस्थे महिषा अगृभ्णत विशो राजानमुप तस्थुॠग्मियम् । आ दूतो अग्निमभरद्विवस्वतो वैश्वानरं मातरिश्वा परावतः ॥
apā́m upásthe mahiṣā́ agṛbhṇata víśo rājā́nam úpa tasthur ṛ́gmiyam | ā́ dūtó agním abharad vivásvato vaiśvānaráṃ mātáriśvā parā́vataḥ ||
அபாம் (நீர்களின்) உபஸ்தத்தில் மகிஷர்கள் அவரை எடுத்துக் கொண்டனர்; மக்கள் அனைவரும் மந்திர-செல்வம் கொண்ட அரசனை அணுகி நின்றனர். தூதன் மாதரிஷ்வன், பராவத் (தொலை அப்பால்) இருந்து, விவஸ்வத் இடமிருந்து அக்னியை—வைஶ்வானரனை—கொண்டு வந்தான்.
