Sukta 6.61
इयं शुष्मेभिर्बिसखा इवारुजत्सानु गिरीणां तविषेभिरूर्मिभिः । पारावतघ्नीमवसे सुवृक्तिभिः सरस्वतीमा विवासेम धीतिभिः ॥
iyaṃ śuṣmebhir bisakhāḥ-ivārujat sānu girīṇāṃ taviṣebhir ūrmi-bhiḥ | pārāvata-ghnīm avase suvṛkti-bhiḥ sarasvatīm ā vivāsema dhīti-bhiḥ ||
இவள் (ஸரஸ்வதி) தன் ஶுஷ்மம் (வலிமை) கொண்டு, தாமரைத் தண்டு (பிஸ்-தண்டு) கிழித்தெறிவதுபோல், பிளந்து வெளிப்பட்டாள்; தன் பேராற்றல்மிகு ஊர்மி (அலை)களால் மலைகளின் முதுகெலும்பு/மடங்குகளைச் சிதைத்தாள். ‘பாராவத்’—தூரத்திலுள்ள இருள்—அழிப்பவளான அவள், எங்கள் உதவிக்காக—சுவ்ருக்தி (நல்ல உச்சரிப்பு)களாலும் தீதி (ஊக்கமூட்டிய சிந்தனை)களாலும்—ஸரஸ்வதியை நெருங்க அழைத்து, இங்கே வாசிக்கச் செய்வோமாக.
