Sukta 6.18
स मज्मना जनिम मानुषाणाममर्त्येन नाम्नाति प्र सर्स्रे । स द्युम्नेन स शवसोत राया स वीर्येण नृतमः समोकाः ॥
sa májmanā jánima mā́nuṣāṇām ámartyena nā́mnā́ti prá sarsre | sa dyumnéna sa śávasotā́ rāyā́ sa vīryèṇa nṛ́-tamaḥ sam-okā́ḥ ||
தன் மகத்துவத்தால் மனிதர்களின் பிறப்பையும் அவர் முந்திச் சென்றான்; அமர நாமத்தால் அவர் பொங்கி எழுந்து அப்பாற்பட்டான். த்யும்ன (ஒளிமிகு புகழ்) ஆல், ஷவஸ் (வலிமை) ஆல், ராய் (செல்வ-நிறைவு) ஆல்—ஒரே இடத்தில் வாழ்வோருள் அவன் மிக நரசிறந்தவன்; வீர்யத்தால் அவன் பொதுவீடு (சமூக வாசம்) என்பதின் முன்னோடியாக நிற்கிறான்.
