को नु वां मित्रास्तुतो वरुणो वा तनूनाम् । तत्सु वामेषते मतिरत्रिभ्य एषते मतिः ॥
Transliteration
kó nú vāṃ mitrā́stuto váruṇo vā tanū́nām | tát su vām éṣate matír átribhya éṣate matíḥ ||
Translation
இப்போது உங்களிருவரில்—மித்ரனோ அல்லது வருணனோ—எங்கள் தநூநாம் (உடலோடு வாழ்வதின் செயல்களில்) புகழப்படாதவர் யார்? ஆகவே நிச்சயமாக உங்களையே நோக்கி இந்த மதி (சிந்தனை-உந்துதல்) விரைகிறது; அத்திரிகளிடமிருந்து எழும் இந்த ஆவல்மிகு மதி உங்களையே நோக்கி விரைகிறது.
