Sukta 5.52
आ रुक्मैरा युधा नर ऋष्वा ऋष्टीरसृक्षत । अन्वेनाँ अह विद्युतो मरुतो जज्झतीरिव भानुरर्त त्मना दिवः ॥
ā́ rukmáir ā́ yúdhā nára ṛ́ṣvā ṛ́ṣṭīr asṛkṣata | ánv enā́n áha ví-dyuto marúto jajjhatī́r-iva bhā́nur arta tmánā diváḥ ||
பொன்-ஒளிர் பிரகாசங்களோடும் ஆயுதங்களோடும் அந்த வீரர்கள் (மருதர்கள்) உயர்ந்து நிற்கும் தங்கள் ‘ரிஷ்டி’ (வேல்கள்) விடுகின்றனர். அவர்களைத் தொடர்ந்து நிச்சயமாக மின்னல் செல்கிறது—சடசடக்கும் தீச்சுடர்கள் போல; மேலும் திவத்தின் ‘பானு’ (ஒளி) தன் சொந்த வலிமையால் வானில் இயங்குகிறது.
