Sukta 4.20
वि यो ररप्श ऋषिभिर्नवेभिर्वृक्षो न पक्वः सृण्यो न जेता । मर्यो न योषामभि मन्यमानोऽच्छा विवक्मि पुरुहूतमिन्द्रम् ॥
ví yó rarapśa ṛ́ṣibhir návabhir vṛkṣó na pakváḥ sṛ́ṇyo na jetā́ | már yo na yóṣām abhí manyamāno’cchā́ vivakmi puru-hūtám índram ||
புதிய ரிஷிகளுடன் வல்லமையில் விரிந்தவன்—முழுப் பழுத்த மரம்போல், வெற்றியளிக்கும் அம்பு/எறிபொருள்போல்; இளையவன் கன்னியின்மேல் தீவிர ஆசையுடன் செல்பதுபோல்—அவ்வாறே நான் ஏக்கத்துடன் நேராகப் புருஹூத (பலமுறை அழைக்கப்படுபவன்) இந்திரனை அழைக்கிறேன்.
