Sukta 3.35
शुनं हुवेम मघवानमिन्द्रमस्मिन्भरे नृतमं वाजसातौ । शृण्वन्तमुग्रमूतये समत्सु घ्नन्तं वृत्राणि संजितं धनानाम् ॥
śunáṁ huvema maghávānam índram asmín bháre nṛ́-tamam vā́ja-sātau | śṛṇvántam ugrám ūtáye samát-su ghnántaṁ vṛtrā́ṇi saṁ-jítaṁ dhánānām ||
நம் நலனுக்காக, இந்தப் போர்ச் சுமையில், வாஜ-வெற்றியில் மிகப் புருஷார்த்தமிக்க, தானவான் இந்திரனை நாம் அழைக்கிறோம். அவர் நம்மைச் செவிமடுக்கிறார்—போர்க்களங்களில் உதவிக்காக உக்ரன்; வ்ருத்ரங்களை (தடையிடுவோரை) அழிப்பவன்; தனங்களைச் சேர்த்து வெல்லும் ‘ஸஞ்ஜித்’ (வெற்றி-சேர்ப்பவன்).
