Sukta 3.1
आ नो गहि सख्येभिः शिवेभिर्महान्महीभिरूतिभिः सरण्यन् । अस्मे रयिं बहुलं संतरुत्रं सुवाचं भागं यशसं कृधी नः ॥
ā́ no gahi sakhyébhīḥ śivébhir mahā́n mahī́bhir ūtíbhiḥ saraṇyán | asmè rayíṁ bahuláṁ saṁtarútraṁ su-vā́caṁ bhāgáṁ yaśásaṁ kṛdhī naḥ ||
எங்களிடம் வா; சிவமான நட்புகளுடன். வல்லவனே, மகத்தானதும் விரிந்ததுமான ஊதிகளுடன்—எங்களைப் பாதுகாப்பாகக் கரை சேர்க்கும் துணையுடன்—வா. எங்களுக்குப் பெருமளவு ரயி (செல்வ-சார்பு) அளி; எல்லா கடத்தல்களிலும் வெற்றி தரும் நிறைவு; மேலும் சுவாசம்—நன்கு உரைக்கப்படும்—யசஸ்வி பங்கை எமக்கு அருள்வாயாக.
