Sukta 2.14
अध्वर्यवो यो अपो वव्रिवांसं वृत्रं जघानाशन्येव वृक्षम् । तस्मा एतं भरत तद्वशायँ एष इन्द्रो अर्हति पीतिमस्य ॥
ádhvaryavo yó apó vavrivā́ṃsaṃ vṛtráṃ jaghā́nā́śanyèva vṛkṣám | tásmā etáṃ bharata tád-vaśāyaṃ eṣá índro arhati pītím asya ||
ஓ அத்வர்யுக்களே, நீர்களை மூடிக்கொண்டிருந்த வ்ருத்ரனை, மின்னல்-வஜ்ரம் மரத்தை வீழ்த்துவது போல வீழ்த்தியவன்—அவனுக்காக இந்த சோமத்தை கொண்டு வாருங்கள், அவன் விருப்பத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்து; இந்த இந்திரன் இதைப் பருகத் தகுதியுடையவன்.
