Sukta 2.12
यः सुन्वन्तमवति यः पचन्तं यः शंसन्तं यः शशमानमूती । यस्य ब्रह्म वर्धनं यस्य सोमो यस्येदं राधः स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yaḥ sunvantam avati yaḥ pacantaṃ yaḥ śaṃsantaṃ yaḥ śaśamānam ūtī | yasya brahma vardhanaṃ yasya somo yasyedaṃ rādhaḥ sa janāsa indraḥ ||
சோமத்தைப் பிழிபவனைப் பாதுகாப்பவன்; ஹவியைச் சமைப்பவனைப் பாதுகாப்பவன்; பாடிப் புகழ்பவனைப் பாதுகாப்பவன்; தன் ஊதியால் தன்னை அடக்க முயல்வவனைப் பாதுகாப்பவன். யாருடைய வளர்ச்சி ‘ப்ரஹ்ம’ (ஊக்கமூட்டும் வாக்கு), யாருடையது சோமம், யாருடையது இவ்விராதஸ் (நிறைவு/செல்வம்)—மக்களே, அவனே இந்திரன்.
