Sukta 2.12
यः शश्वतो मह्येनो दधानानमन्यमानाञ्छर्वा जघान । यः शर्धते नानुददाति शृध्यां यो दस्योर्हन्ता स जनास इन्द्रः ॥
yaḥ śaśvato mahy eno dadhānān amanyamānān śarvā jaghāna | yaḥ śardhate nānu-dadāti śṛdhyāṃ yo dasyor hantā sa janāsa indraḥ ||
நீண்ட காலம் பெரும் அநீதியில் நிலைத்து, தன்னிச்சையால் அகந்தை கொண்டவர்களைத் தன் அம்புகளால் வீழ்த்துவோன்; வன்முறையுடன் சவால் விடுபவனுக்கு வெற்றிநிலத்தை ஒப்படைக்காதோன்; தஸ்யுவின் (Dasyu) கொலையாளி—அவன், ஓ மக்களே, இந்திரன்.
