Sukta 2.1
त्वमग्ने राजा वरुणो धृतव्रतस्त्वं मित्रो भवसि दस्म ईड्यः । त्वमर्यमा सत्पतिर्यस्य सम्भुजं त्वमंशो विदथे देव भाजयुः ॥
tvám agne rājā́ váruṇo dhṛtá-vratas tváṃ mitró bhavasi dasmá ī́ḍyaḥ | tvám aryamā́ sátpatir yásya saṃbhújad tvám áṃśo vidáthē deva bhājayúḥ ||
அக்னியே! நீயே அரசன் வருணன்—த்ருதவ்ரதன், வ்ரத-தர்மத்தில் உறுதியானவன்; நீயே மித்ரன் ஆகிறாய்—தஸ்ம, ஈட்யன். நீயே அர்யமன்—சத்பதி, பகிர்ந்த அனுபவத்தை அளிப்பவன்; நீயே அம்ʼசன்—விதத (சபை) யில், தேவே, பங்குகளைப் பகிர்ந்து, உரிய பங்கை அளிப்பவன்.
