यत्पुरुषेण हविषा देवा यज्ञमतन्वत । वसन्तो अस्यासीदाज्यं ग्रीष्म इध्मः शरद्धविः ॥
Transliteration
yát púruṣeṇa havíṣā devā́ yajñám atanvata | vasantó asyāsīd ā́jyaṃ grī́ṣma idhmáḥ śarád dhavíḥ ||
Translation
தேவர்கள் புருஷனை ஹவியாகக் கொண்டு யாகத்தை விரித்தபோது, வசந்தம் அவனுடைய ஆஜ்யம் (நெய்) ஆனது; கிரீஷ்மம் அவனுடைய இத்மம் (சமிதை/எரிபொருள்) ஆனது; சரத் அவனுடைய ஹவி (ஆஹுதி) ஆனது.
