Sukta 10.73
जनिष्ठा उग्रः सहसे तुराय मन्द्र ओजिष्ठो बहुलाभिमानः । अवर्धन्निन्द्रं मरुतश्चिदत्र माता यद्वीरं दधनद्धनिष्ठा ॥
jániṣṭhā ugráḥ sáhase turā́ya mandró ójiṣṭho bahulā́bhimānaḥ | ávardhann índraṃ marútaś cid átra mātā́ yád vīráṃ dádhanad dhániṣṭhā ||
உக்ரன் (இந்திரன்) ஸஹஸிற்காக, விரைந்த வெற்றிச் சக்திக்காகப் பிறந்தான்; வலத்தின் லீலையில் மந்திரன், ஓஜஸில் மிகவலிமை, பலவகை விரிவுகளின் பெருமையுடையவன். இங்கே மருதரும் இந்திரனை வளர்த்தனர்—தாய் வீரனைத் தாங்கி நிலைநிறுத்தி, இருப்பினுள் வல-செல்வத்தை உறுதியாக வைத்தபோது.
