कथा कविस्तुवीरवान्कया गिरा बृहस्पतिर्वावृधते सुवृक्तिभिः । अज एकपात्सुहवेभिॠक्वभिरहिः शृणोतु बुध्न्यो हवीमनि ॥

Transliteration

kathā́ kavís tuvīrávān káyā girā́ bृहáspátir vāvṛdhate suvṛ́ktibhiḥ | ajá ékapāt suhávebhir ṛ́kvabhir áhíḥ śṛṇotu budhnyò havī́mani ||

Translation

எவ்வாறு, எந்த வாக்கால், மகாவீர ஒலியுடைய கவி—பிருஹஸ்பதி—நன்கு அமைந்த ஸ்துதிகளால் வளர்கிறார்? நன்கு அழைக்கும் ருக்-பாடகர்களுடன் அஜ ஏகபாத் கேட்பானாக; ஆழத்தின் பாம்பு—புத்ந்யன்—ஹவிஸின் வேளையில் செவிகொடுப்பானாக.
