Sukta 1.85
वि ये भ्राजन्ते सुमखास ऋष्टिभिः प्रच्यावयन्तो अच्युता चिदोजसा । मनोजुवो यन्मरुतो रथेष्वा वृषव्रातासः पृषतीरयुग्ध्वम् ॥
ví yé bhrā́jante súmakhāsa ṛṣṭíbhīḥ prá cyāváyanto acyútā cid ójasā | manójavo yán maruto rathéṣv ā́ vṛ́ṣavrātāsaḥ pṛ́ṣatīr áyugdhvam ||
சுமுகர் (அழகிய முகத்தினர்) ஆகிய மருதர்கள் தங்கள் ருஷ்டி (வேல்கள்) உடன் பிரகாசித்து, தங்கள் ஓஜஸால் அசையாததையும் அசைக்கின்றனர். மருதர்களே, மனோஜவம் (மன வேகம்) உடையவர்களாய் நீங்கள் ரதங்களில் புள்ளிப்புள்ளி குதிரைகளை யோக்கும்போது, வृषவ்ராதம் (காளை-கூட்டம்) போல், வெல்ல முடியாத உறுதியுடன் நீங்கள் வருகிறீர்கள்.
