Sukta 1.83
आदङ्गिराः प्रथमं दधिरे वय इद्धाग्नयः शम्या ये सुकृत्यया । सर्वं पणेः समविन्दन्त भोजनमश्वावन्तं गोमन्तमा पशुं नरः ॥
ād aṅgirā́ḥ prathamáṁ dadhire váya iddhā́gnayaḥ śamyā́ ye su-kṛtyáyā | sárvaṁ paṇéḥ sám avindanta bhójanam aśvā́vantaṁ gómantam ā́ paśúṁ náraḥ ||
அப்போது அங்கிரஸர்கள் முதன்முதலில் உயிர்வாழ்வின் நிறைவை நிறுவினர்; சுக்ருத்யம் (நல்ல செயல்-திறன்) உடையவர்களாக அவர்கள் எரியூட்டப்பட்ட அக்னிகளாய் இருந்தனர். பணி யிடமிருந்து அவர்கள் முழு போக-செல்வத்தையும் வென்றனர்—குதிரைச் செல்வம் உடையது, கோச் செல்வம் உடையது, மேலும் மனித நாடுபவர்க்கு மந்தை-வளர்ச்சியையும் அளிப்பது.
