Sukta 1.64
प्र नू स मर्तः शवसा जनाँ अति तस्थौ व ऊती मरुतो यमावत । अर्वद्भिर्वाजं भरते धना नृभिरापृच्छ्यं क्रतुमा क्षेति पुष्यति ॥
prá nū́ sá martáḥ śávasā jánā̃ áti tasthau va ūtī́ maruto yám ā́vat | árvadbhiḥ vā́jaṃ bharate dhánā nṛ́bhir ā́pṛcchyaṃ krátum ā́ kṣeti púṣyati ||
இப்போது அந்த மானவன் தன் சவஸா (வலிமை) கொண்டு பொதுமக்களின் வழக்கமான ஓட்டத்தைத் தாண்டி முன்னேறுகிறான்—அவனை, மருதர்களே, நீங்கள் உங்கள் ஊதி (உதவி) யால் தாங்குகிறீர்கள். வேகமான குதிரைகளுடன் அவன் வாஜம் (வல-செல்வம்) மற்றும் தனத்தைச் சுமக்கிறான்; நரர்களுடன் அவன் ஆலோசிக்கத்தக்க க்ரது (சங்கல்ப-சக்தி) யை அடைகிறான்; அவன் குடியிருந்து வளர்ந்து புஷ்டியடைகிறான்.
