Sukta 1.52
बृहत्स्वश्चन्द्रममवद्यदुक्थ्यमकृण्वत भियसा रोहणं दिवः । यन्मानुषप्रधना इन्द्रमूतयः स्वर्नृषाचो मरुतोऽमदन्ननु ॥
bṛhát svaś-candrám áma-vad yád ukthyám ákṛṇvata bhiyásā róhaṇaṃ diváḥ | yán mā́nuṣa-pradhanā índram ūtáyaḥ svàr nṛ-ṣā́co marúto ’madann ánu ||
அவர்கள் ஸ்தோத்திரத்தைப் பெரிதும் ஒளிமிக்கதுமாக, வலிமை நிறைந்ததுமாக ஆக்கினர்; அச்சம்-பக்தியால் விண்ணேற்றப் பாதையை அமைத்தனர். மனிதப் போர்களில், மனிதரின் துணையரும், ஸ்வர்லோகத்தின் உதவியாளருமான மருதர்கள், இந்திரனைத் தொடர்ந்து மகிழ்ந்தனர்—அவருக்கு உதவியாய் இருந்து.
