वेद मासो धृतव्रतो द्वादश प्रजावतः । वेदा य उपजायते ॥
Transliteration
védā mā́só dhṛtá-vrato dvā́daśa prajā́vataḥ | védā yá upajā́yate ||
Translation
திடவிரதன் பன்னிரண்டு மாதங்களையும் அறிவான்—பிரஜை நிறைந்த அந்த பன்னிரண்டு; அதன் பின் பிறப்பதையும் அறிவான்—வருணன், ருதத்தின் விதியில் காலத்தையும் வெளிப்படும் வரிசையையும் அளப்பவன்.
