नक्षद्धोता परि सद्म मिता यन्भरद्गर्भमा शरदः पृथिव्याः । क्रन्ददश्वो नयमानो रुवद्गौरन्तर्दूतो न रोदसी चरद्वाक् ॥
nákṣad hótā pári sádma mitā́ yán bhárad gárbham ā́ śáradaḥ pṛthivyā́ḥ | krándad áśvo náyamāno ruvád gáur antár dūtó ná rodasī́ íti carád vāk ||
ஹோதா நக்ஷத்—அளவிடப்பட்ட சத்மம் (இல்லம்) முழுதும் சூழ்ந்து அடைகிறார்; பூமியின் சரத்-ऋதுக்களிலிருந்து கருவைத் தாங்கி வரும்போது. முன்னே நடத்தப்படும் குதிரை கத்துவது போல, முழங்கும் காளை போல—உள்ளே வாக் இயங்குகிறது; இரு உலகங்களுக்கு இடையிலான தூதனைப் போல, த்யாவா-பிருதிவீ இடையில் வாக் சொற்பயணமாகச் சஞ்சரிக்கிறது.
