Sukta 1.17

Rishi: Kakṣīvant Dairghatamasa (traditionally for RV 1.17)

इन्द्रावरुण नू नु वां सिषासन्तीषु धीष्वा । अस्मभ्यं शर्म यच्छतम् ॥

indrā́varuṇa nū́ nu vāṃ siṣā́santīṣu dhīṣv ā́ | asmábhyaṃ śárma yacchatam ||

இந்திரா–வருணரே! இப்போது—இப்போது—எங்கள் ஏங்கும் ‘தீ’ (dhī) யில் புகுவீராக. எங்களுக்கு ‘ஷர்ம’ (śarma)—காப்பும் அமைதியும் தரும் விரிந்த அடைக்கலத்தை அருள்வீராக.
