tad ahaṃ yaṣṭum icchāmi śāstradṛṣṭena karmaṇā | kathaṃ prāpsyāmy ahaṃ kāmaṃ buddhir atra vicāryatām ||

ஆகையால் நான் சாஸ்திரம் விதித்த முறையின்படி யாகம் செய்ய விரும்புகிறேன். இவ்விஷயத்தில் என் விருப்பத்தை நான் எவ்வாறு அடைவேன்? இங்கு விவேகமான வழி ஆலோசிக்கப்படுக.
