भरतस्य राज्यत्यागः तथा रामानयनप्रतिज्ञा
Bharata Rejects Kingship and Vows to Bring Rama Back
एवं ते भाषमाणस्य पद्मा श्रीरुपतिष्ठतात्।यस्त्वं ज्येष्ठे नृपसुते पृथिवीं दातुमिच्छसि।।2.79.15।।
evaṃ te bhāṣamāṇasya padmā śrīr upatiṣṭhatāt | yas tvaṃ jyeṣṭhe nṛpasute pṛthivīṃ dātum icchasi ||2.79.15||
நீ இவ்வாறு உரைப்பதனால் பத்மா ஸ்ரீ (லக்ஷ்மி) உனக்கு அருள் புரிவாளாக; ஏனெனில் அரசனின் மூத்த மகனுக்கு இந்தப் பூமி (அரசாட்சி) அளிக்க விரும்புகிறாய்।
O best among men, inherit this stable kingdom of your ancestors, get yourself consecrated and save us.
