तथा ह्यात्तमिदं राज्यं हृतसारां सुरामिव।नाभिमन्तुमलं रामो नष्टसोममिवाध्वरम्।।2.61.18।।
tathā hy āttam idaṃ rājyaṃ hṛtasārāṃ surām iva |
nābhimantum alaṃ rāmo naṣṭasomam ivādhvaram || 2.61.18 ||
அதேபோல் இந்த அரசு முன்பே அனுபவிக்கப்பட்டது; அது சாரம் பறிக்கப்பட்ட மதுவைப் போன்றது. சோமம் இழந்த யாகம் ஏற்கப்படாதது போல, ஸ்ரீராமருக்கும் இதை ஏற்கத் தகுதி இல்லை।
