अयोध्याकाण्डे विंशः सर्गः
Rama Enters Kauśalyā’s Antaḥpura; Ritual Preparations and the Shock of Exile
तामदुःखोचितां दृष्ट्वा पतितां कदलीमिव।रामस्तूत्थापयामास मातरं गतचेतसम्।।।।
tām aduḥkhocitāṃ dṛṣṭvā patitāṃ kadalīm iva | rāmas tūtthāpayāmāsa mātaraṃ gatacetasam ||
துன்பத்திற்குத் தகுதியற்றவளாய், வாழைமரம் போல் விழுந்து உணர்விழந்த தாயைக் கண்டு ராமன் அவளைத் தூக்கி எழுப்பினான்।
Seeing his mother who had done nothing to deserve (this) suffering and who had fallen down like a plantain tree, deprived of her senses, Rama raised her up (from the ground).
