भवान्मे प्रियकामार्थं वचनं यदिहोक्तवान्।अकार्यं कार्यसङ्काशमपथ्यं पथ्यसम्मतम्।।2.109.2।।

Transliteration

bhavān me priyakāmārthaṁ vacanaṁ yad ihok­tavān |

akāryaṁ kārya-saṅkāśam apathyaṁ pathya-sammatam ||2.109.2||

Translation

என்னை மகிழ்விக்க எண்ணி நீங்கள் இங்கே சொன்ன சொல், வெளிப்படையில் நல்வழி போலத் தோன்றினாலும், உண்மையில் அது செய்யத்தகாதது; நன்மை எனக் காட்டப்பட்டாலும் அது தீமையே தருவது.
